Yup, we've been doing a bit of Spring Cleaning and are putting some "new old stock" and some plain "old stock" in our eBay store. So as not to bury our parts department under a pile of auctions that end on the same day, we're adding four or five items each night over the course of four or five days.

This current batch of stuff features mostly brand new, never used body panels and a couple mudguards. Good luck bidding!

Crash.net is reporting that Ducati has officially sold out its production run of Desmosedicis:

"If you want a Desmosedici RR, but haven't got round to placing your order yet, you're out of luck.

Ducati has just announced that it has sold the entire production run of 1,500 motorcycles - a figure that has been raised twice from the original 'couple of hundred', to 1,250 following a rather better than expected response to a £40k Ducati, up to 1,500 after demand stayed high. Despite the fact that, apparently, orders are still coming in, Ducati has said that it will not be extending its run again.
Demand for what it possibly the most desirable motorbike ever will keep the Desmo's dedicated production line tied up until the end of next year and the official line is that there will be no follow up.
However, according to MCN, "insiders have hinted that the change in MotoGP regulations to limit capacities to 800cc in 2007 might prompt a second, 800cc MotoGP replica in the future".
Here's hoping."

Moto news sources are reporting that Max Biaggi will be back in WSBK next year...on a 1098!

"However, news of a factory-backed WSBK Ducati soon emerged, with 2005 BSB champion's GSE Racing rumoured to be running the Roman. That was subsequently denied, but the 1098R seat proved correct and Biaggi has now been confirmed alongside Ruben Xaus at Sterilgarda Ducati." Read more.

Nice job to Rueben btw, from dropping a bunch of his own $$$ in order to buy bikes and get the team off the ground to now having a world class teammate. Good on ye, Xaus.

NY Times Article About Nicky Hayden and MotoGP

So this was how the day would end for Nicky Hayden, rag-dolling through the rain at 140 miles per hour, his season shattered like his motorcycle, a multimillion-dollar machine depreciating rapidly as it shed chunks of titanium and carbon fiber in the gravel shoulder area where Hayden would eventually skid to a stop. "That's a huge crash!" the Eurosport TV announcer howled, a fairly obvious observation to anyone who had just watched the white, orange and black Honda dip into a corner of the wet track and chuck Hayden, the reigning Moto Grand Prix road-racing world champion, into the air just two laps from a fourth-place finish that he desperately needed.
