Storing Your Bike for an Extended Time

December 20th, 2011

For many of us, we’re now in cold weather and we’ve put our bikes away for a time or will do that shortly. We wanted to make sure that we passed on some best practices for storing your bike for an extended period so when warmer weather comes you’ll get it on the road without any issues or unnecessary cost. To that end, we’ve created Storing Your Bike for an Extended Period, a pdf document with advice gleaned from years of looking after Italian (among other) motorcycles.

The pdf is free to all. Naturally our Parts staff can help with advice and finding any gear you may need (in our shop or our online store).

Suspension Clinic- August 20, Sign Up Now

July 28th, 2011

Sign up now for our next Suspension Clinic – hosted by the gurus from Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning. This even will feature a short seminar on suspension tuning at 9:30AM. The vid above was made during our May 21st event.

Register for the suspension clinic by calling or emailing Rick or Ben in Sales (818 249 5707). $40 cash and an advance reservation gets you a spot in either the morning or afternoon session. Sessions will start at 9:30AM and wind up at 4PM. It’s the best $40 you’ll spend on your bike and your ride away from Pro Italia will be even better than your ride to Pro Italia. Everyone who has just picked up a new, or pre-owned bike recently is strongly encouraged to have their suspension tailored to them. Sign up now.

At 9:30AM Dave Moss and Jim Williams of Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning will be presenting a seminar on motorcycle suspension. This seminar is a practical approach to understanding how suspension works, including proper sag adjustment, understanding what adjustments can be made and the effects of those adjustments, and proper maintenance of suspension.

Laguna Wrap-Up. Rossi Gear Online Soon. Congrats to Mission Motors. Thank You!

July 28th, 2011

A big THANK YOU goes out to everyone who stopped by, helped out, said hello, bought gear, made possible and supported our recent booth at the Laguna MotoGP event; we had a blast. We wouldn’t have had such a successful and exciting trip if it wasn’t for our help and the support of all the PI Riders. Our Flickr Set from Laguna 2011 is here.

- Big congratulations to Mission Motors and Steve Rapp. Watching the Mission R gracefully haul the mail around the track is like watching ballet. A fantastic win. Thank you so much to the team and to Steve for displaying the bike and spending time to meet and greet race fans; Steve and the Mission R was a huge attraction. Read more about the TTXGP.

- Valentino Rossi’s very own VR46 gear was naturally a hit at the races. We were the sole outlet. We are working feverishly to get the VR46 gear online at ducatiperformance.com. Stay tuned to our newsletter and our facebook page as you can bet we’ll let our subscribers and friends know first.
