Ducati: A Story Of Passion - DVD - now available for pre-order Pro Italia

We're pleased to announce a new DVD, "Ducati: A Story Of Passion" which is a project we worked on with Cry Havoc Productions is now available in our showroom as well as in our online store. From the product page which is one click away:

"Ducati: A Story Of Passion” will immerse you in the past, present, and future of one of the world’s most legendary motorcycle marques. This full-hour DVD features the bikes, people, and history that make Ducati motorcycles unique and desirable.

In Italy, we interviewed the key figures at the factory in Bologna and the "giant killers" of Ducati Corse. Inside the factory, you'll learn the underlying design and technology of Italy's most famous motorcycles. And we raided the factory archives to resurrect rarely seen film, video, and historic photographs to tell the story of company beginnings, racing triumphs, and bike development from the post war Cucciolo to the current 1098, Hypermotard, and Desmosedici RR.

For the first time on video, Pro Italia brings you the definitive story of Ducati motorcycles, the people and the passion they inspire.

"Ducati: A Story Of Passion" features exclusive interviews with: two time WSBK Champ Troy Bayliss, Ducati designer Pierre Terblanche, head of development for Ducati as well as Ducati Corse Claudio Domenicali and Ducati Museum director Livio Lodi among others.

This DVD is hosted by accomplished race car driver and long time Ducati enthusiast Alain de Cadenet and was produced by Cry Havoc Productions.

(Note: Advance copies of this item are making their debut at World Ducati Week 2007. This item will begin shipping around the third week of July with pre-orders filled first.)

Ducati: Stoner is a genius.

Stoner had to overcome a poor start, which left him just twelfth at turn one, and a treacherously slick - but drying - Donington track to record his latest triumph.

The Australian passed Rossi with ease on his way up the order, before pouncing on a small mistake by the Italian's Fiat Yamaha team-mate Colin Edwards to take the lead just after the halfway stage.

Bring on the WSBK 1200 twins - now taking deposits on whatever the "R" turns out to be

Article at Crash.net. We say, bring on the Beemers and the KTMers and the Guzziers and anyone else making big twins!

Believe (because it is true) that we have already started a list for the bike that Ducati will use for homologation purposes - 1098R? 1198R? 1200R? We don't even know at this point but you can imagine as well as we can. You can probably also imagine that it will be limited and rare potentially pre-sold-out on arrival. If you can feel the desire for this motorcycle building, call Pro Italia Sales now as we are already taking deposits.

Article in The Scotsman re: Ducati and Stoner

"While Honda churned out around 10 million machines last year, the small Ducati factory in Bologna managed just over 32,000. Yet the Italian whippersnapper is taking on the Japanese giant of motorsport and, for now, is managing to show a clean pair of exhaust pipes."

The 2007 MotoGP race at Catalunya, Spain was one of the greatest races I have ever seen. A brilliant and hard-fought win for Ducati and Casey Stoner.
