The raffle bike is a 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 500 in Stealth Black. It is a fun, simple, classically cool ride. The retro styling of the Classic belies the modern conveniences it hides - fuel injection, gas shocks and an electric start. This motorcycle is perfect for beginners while a joy to appreciate for more seasoned riders.

All raffle proceeds go to Sister Inmate, a Los Angeles based non-profit founded by Carlee Santarelli after her 19 year old brother committed suicide in prison. Sister Inmate aims to shift the conversation around the criminal justice system. It supports the family and friends of those incarcerated by providing everything from therapy to life-skills classes, while also educating the public about the realities of life in prison. Sister Inmate’s mission statement is “To help transform the justice system into a restorative and mindful justice system, and (to) reduce the recidivism rate, one loved one at a time.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the Los Angeles motorcycle community to lend a helping hand to an incredible non-profit,” says Pro Italia Dealer Principal Bill Nation. “Our jails are overcrowded with inmates that have children, spouses, parents, brothers and sisters who are all deeply affected. Their website sums it up accurately: ‘In some way we are all incarcerated too.’ Sister Inmate is addressing these seldom considered issues, and we’re proud to help.”

Santarelli has big plans for the future of Sister Inmate and is excited to combine her love for motorcycling with an effort to boost funding for the nonprofit. “I hope this give-away will help shine a light on the importance of education, life skills, mental health, and trauma-informed programs both in and outside jails and prisons. Our next big goal is to open a transitional home for women recently released from jail in Los Angeles. Once we are able to secure a home, we aim to provide a safe space for women to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.”

Sister Inmate is a los angeles-based non-profit that provides support to individuals affected by incarceration. In some way, we are all incarcerated too. Teach mindfulness to those incarcerated in and working in jails, creating transformation. Educate society on the prison and jail systems, and what it's like to have a loved one incarcerated, raising awareness. and to provide emotional support to vulnerable teens, teaching them emotional self-regulation with positive coping skills.
